August Rainbow - Upper Kenai River

The World Famous
Kenai River,

OPTION A
FISHING
Preferred by 95% of our visitors; Enjoy being miles away from the combat-zone of the upper Kenai and Russian River Confluence in Cooper Landing and the traffic jam of power boats in the lower Kenai River in the City of Soldotna and Kenai.

Y
our group will depart from the Lower Skilak Lake boat launch to fish the meandering pristine waters of the middle Kenai River, located 114 scenic miles south of Anchorage.  The middle Kenai has less fishing pressure and is known as the "quiet section" of the Kenai.
Fishing stretches of river with names like Super Hole, Secret Hole, The Narrows, a.k.a. "Rainbow Alley".  The 11.5 mile stretch of river between Skilak Lake and Bing's Landing is world renowned for numerous Rainbows caught over 30 inches and known for producing the largest Dolly Varden in the drainage.  You're put into some of the most productive trophy fishing in the world with stops on key gravel bars for a chance at the highly sought after Sockeye and Coho Salmon.

OPTION B
FISHING

Bait a rod on a comfortable 21ft River Runner (with an outboard) or 21ft Drift boat in the Lower Kenai or Kasilof River, for a chance at the world famous TACKLE-BREAKING   **ALASKA KING SALMON.

OPTION C
WALK- IN FISHING
Wade-Fish the river that is known all over the world, fish the Russian River.  From mid. June to September, this is an absolute choice to fly fish for Sockeye and Silver Salmon, Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden (perfect for the novice fly fisher).  We also fish other streams in the Kenai Peninsula and streams north of Anchorage in the Mat-Su Valley for all five species of Pacific Samon as well as Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden.

OPTION D
FLOAT-SEEING / NON-FISHING
Relax and climb aboard a spacious raft and sight-see Alaska's beauty.  From the launch at Kenai lake to the take out of Sportsman's Landing it is not uncommon to witness first-hand, bears bobbing for salmon, moose grazing and eagles in dramatic flight.  The upper stretch of the Kenai River is a float you will never forget.

Whether you are fly fishing, casting, using plugs and divers or bait, our mission is to bring you a lifetime of memories from a true Alaskan experience.

**Terminal Tackle only ~ Excludes Fly Fishing
